I feel very privileged and honored (note US spelling!) to be the first to post a message on this exciting new High Council website which Rachel is in the process of setting up.

It is intended that all the Chiefs will eventually post regular messages on this page, so I hope that you will get used to the idea of looking for them whenever you go into our new website. It will certainly enable us to feel that we are more in touch with fellow members of Clan Donald throughout the world than has been the case before.

This week-end (November 3rd) Carolyn and I will be in Edinburgh for the Clan Donald Society of Edinburgh's annual gathering. Sir Ian Macdonald of Sleat will also be present. The society has been through a difficult time recently and numbers have fallen, so I would ask you to give us your moral support as we try to turn things round for this organization which has been in existence since 1891.
