Harold Morley McIsaac
C.A., M.N.Z.T.A., A.C.I.S., A.N.Z.I.M., A.I.C.M.
Auckland, New Zealand
After schooling at Auckland Boys Grammar, Harold did his accountancy training in a firm of Chartered Accountants and then worked in various accounting roles until establishing his own public practice which he sold in 2006.
Harold’s eldest son, Robert, became a tetraplegic at age 18 and Robert, with Harold’s assistance, formed The Association For Spinal Concerns Incorporated (TASC) which became a Charitable Trust. Legal action was taken against the Government’s Accident Compensation Corporation. Three years later the case was won, with the result being that the spinal injured now receive 24 hour care, 7 days a week.
Winning the case necessitated that Harold form an organisation specializing in the care of the spinal injured, which has now expanded to cover much of New Zealand. Harold is engaged full time as CEO of this company’s operation but continues to maintain his active role in TASC.
Harold has been President of Clan Donald, Auckland and Districts Association Incorporated for 2006 and 2007 and was appointed New Zealand High Commissioner in 2007.
